Meats That Taste Good with Pineapple
by: Joseph

Hello, and thank you for asking your question.

Pineapple goes excellent with rich, fatty, or salty foods. The sweetness with a bit of acid (the slight sourness) complements these meats and cleanses the palate.

The most popular choice is pork, specifically ham. The sweet and slightly sour pineapple matches well with ham and offsets the saltiness.

Chicken and rich fatty duck pair well with pineapple. If you like making rotisserie chickens or ducks, peel your pineapple and cook it on the spit next to your bird. It takes about an hour. Season your pineapple with spices that go well with your meat and the pineapple. Allspice, cinnamon, cloves, cayenne pepper, chili powder, curry powder, and black pepper go well with pineapple.

In places with a lot of pineapples, people use them in many ways. For example, there are Asian and Hawaiian beef dishes that have pineapple in them. As well as fish and seafood recipes.

There are no right or wrong answers; if you think a dish would go well with pineapple, try it.

Remember the flavor profile and elements of pineapple; sweet with a bit of a sour bite. Try it if you think the meat you're cooking would taste good with those elements.

Happy Cooking!

Joe
